Bourke Warriors stand proud at Koori Knockout

There was controversy, brilliant play and passionate supporters to witness this year’s Koori Knockout in Dubbo, with the Warriors at the centre of it all.

A controversial try saw the Warriors go down to the Newcastle All-Blacks 23-25 in the semi-finals.

Newcastle All Blacks went on to win the tournament against La Perouse by 19 points to 18.

Despite Bourke’s disappointment, the 48th Koori Knockout lived up to its reputation as one of the biggest indigenous events on the calendar and a showcase of raw sporting talent.
