Bourke Shire Council has been selected as one of three finalists in a prestigious local government award – the Bluett Award.

The A R Bluett Memorial Award for rural councils has been awarded annually since 1945 and is contested each year by NSW councils who would like to be recognised as being the most progressive in the state. 

Entry is open to all NSW councils irrespective of size or resources and evaluates all aspects of council operations and services.
