Fords Bridge defeat Two Waterholes to win Grand Final

Fords Bridge beat Two Waterholes by 49 runs on Saturday to win the Bourke & District Cricket 2019/20 grand final.

Brad Cross was the first wicket to fall for Fords Bridge when he was bowled by Troy Hayman Jnr for 4 with the total on 13. Lincoln Old followed 3 runs later, caught by Doug Dennis off Mick Willoughby’s bowling for 7.

Tom Oldfield and Phil Cross added a further 40 runs before Tom was caught by Doug Dennis off Matt Clarke for a quick 35. Ben McGrath was bowled by Matt for 2. Brett Sheilds was stumped by Doug Dennis off Matt’s bowling for 3. Kendrick Cross became Matt’s fourth victim when he was caught for a duck by Troy Hayman Snr who turned back the clock by taking a one hand screamer in the slips. At this point, Fords Bridge had reached 6 for 73.
