Awards night 2023 a great success
Koinonia Christian Academy
The school finished the year on Wednesday 6 December, with parents and family members enjoying the students’ musical presentation, and play.
Both presentations were very enjoyable, and the students were then presented with their awards for performing well in various areas.
Two of our students, Edie Crain and Maggie Poole received an award for reaching the 2,000’s Club, which means in their PACE (units of work) work they gained over twenty 100% scores for their tests.
Edie also received an award for her excellent attendance, with only 7 days absent all year.
Students do Scripture Memorization during the year, and all our students learned all their verses, which helped them go on Honour Roll trips each term. They also received Honour Certificates to reward them for their efforts.
We also have Shields to present to the students each year. They all received Shields for their work in various areas.
The Academic Shield went to Edie Crain for completing 93 PACEs with an average score of 94.4%.
The Scripture Memorization Shield went to Blake Sutton, who was always the first to memorize the scripture verse when handed out.
The Diligence Shield went to Maggie Poole, who consistently applied herself to her work, always completing her work each day. She was also presented with the Most Improved Shield, as she worked hard and received good results in her work.
We finished the evening with a snack and drink while staff and parents enjoyed have a chat.
Blessings, and have a lovely Christmas.
Pat Amos, Principal
