Bourke Bowling Club News – Amelia Bruggy is Ladies Singles Champion

Amelia Bruggy has taken out the Bourke Bowling Club’s Ladies Single Championship after defeating Fiona Rankmore 25-8 on Sunday.

The score line did not reflecting the quality of the game.

This was Amelia’s first season at the club, and she has certainly demonstrated that she is a high-quality bowler.


Look out state

The Bourke Bowling Club is proud to announce that our lady’s pennant bowlers have qualified for the state playoff finals.

Last week at the Mudgee Soldiers Bowling Club the Bourke ladies team

The ladies have gone through the pennant season at district and zone levels undefeated and will now head to Lake Macquarie in late November to compete for the state championship.

Their manager Kurt Dickson said it was quite an achievement with some of team members only taking up bowls in the last season or two and with the Bourke ladies only having a pennant team represent the club for the past 3 seasons.


Dash for cash is back

Friday night bowls is back this week kicking off at 7pm, with a free sausage sizzle.

Nominations need to be in by 6:30pm and there will be cash to be won plus the blue dot jackpot is at $5,000 and every team gets a chance.
