Bourke District Cricket Competition – Two Waterholes win minor premiership


The Bourke and District Cricket Association was forced to abandon the one-day match between Louth and Fords Bridge at Louth on Saturday due to excessive heat.
President of the cricket association Ben Nott said that, unfortunately, Saturday’s predicted temperatures were set to reach 43 degrees.
“In accordance with the NSW Cricket Heat Risk Index, we are at a risk factor greater than 10, and regretfully, this meant a suspension of play,” Ben said.
“Even with an early start we still hit a risk factor greater than 10 so there was no way of playing the match.”
