Bourke High School — Lake Keepit Camp — a chance to bond

Twenty-four Bourke High School students had the time of their lives when they attended a Year 7-8 camp at Lake Keepit near Tamworth last week.

Year 8 Advisor Nicole Sellers said the camp gave the children time to get to know their fellow classmates during the four day trip, as well as what for many was a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a go at some real-life adventure skills.

“The Lake Keepit trip was our Stage Four camp and it allows the kids to build rapport amongst themselves and with us as their teachers, which is why we do it early in the school year,” Nicole said.

“It’s a way for us to build those connections and for them to learn communication and social skills as well as teamwork.[…]
