Bourke Shire Council has made significant strides in shaping the future of the region with the release of the updated Community Strategic Plan (CSP) for the 10-year period between 2025 and 2035.
This plan reflects the long-term vision for Bourke Shire, the town and villages, shaped through comprehensive consultation with residents.
It will be available for public feedback, allowing the community to weigh in on the direction the council should take for the next decade.
The original Community Strategic Plan, approved in 2022, was designed for the period up to 2032.
However, following the election of a new council in September 2024, a statutory review was required to ensure the plan accurately reflects current community needs and priorities. As a result, the plan has been updated for the period 2025 to 2035.
