Bourke’s Year of 2023 celebrate

On Saturday night family and friends joined with Bourke High School’s Year 12, 2023 graduates and staff, to celebrate their Formal.

Year Adviser Mrs Anna McCorkle said that for the past 18 months she was “beyond proud to walk beside these four young individuals, who each dug deep and ‘were in it for the long haul!’”

As a result, all four students have completed their NSW Higher Education Certificate.

Mrs McCorkle said that it was wonderful to see so many family and friends present with them at the Back O’Bourke Exhibition Centre to celebrate their success.

“It has also been great to see and read the thoughtful comments added to the school’s social media posts of the event from Year 12’s friends, family, community and even their kindergarten, year 3 and year 7 teachers - all congratulating them,” she said.

“As I said to Year 12 on Saturday night, Bourkeites are capable of incredible things and although you may be from a small rural community in the back country – it has an incredible heart and Bourke will back them all the way.” […]
