Bourke’s Young Woman takes on bigger challenges
Bourke’s Young Woman for 2024, Maddi Hack, received her sash at the Bourke Show and will now progress to the next level of state competition.
But who is Maddi Hack you ask?
Maddi has lived in Bourke for the past four years and has embraced the community during her time here.
She has enjoyed both her work in the local agricultural industry – at Nutrien Ag Solutions – and she has also become involved in local sports.
Maddi originally came to Bourke working in the cotton industry, so she has a broad appreciation of the agricultural diversity of the Bourke Shire, and she is also a Bourke Show supporter.
“I’ve been to the Bourke Show pretty much every year that I’ve been here, and when someone mentioned entering the Young Woman’s competition, I thought, ‘why not’,” she said.
“It was informal, which was great. We do a lot with the community through my work at Nutrien Ag Solutions and I’ve made some good relationships with people. I try to go to pretty much every event that we have to help support the town.” […]
