Bre gearing up for bumper youth school holiday program

Brewarrina Shire Council is gearing up for a bumper school holiday thanks to an action-packed program supported by the Brewarrina Youth Centre.

Brewarrina Shire Council General Manager David Kirby said the autumn school holiday program was focused on creating and supporting a range of fantastic events and experiences to keep kids engaged and entertained.

“Our Community Youth Centre and Youth Programs are key in enhancing social well-being and engaging regional youth for personal growth, skill development, and community involvement,” Mr Kirby said.

“These school holidays, kids can learn important financial and life skills at an overnight camp, receive free haircuts, participate in music, dance and circus workshops, improve their skateboarding skills, connect with country, and celebrate cultural heritage.

“There will also be a live performance by renowned First Nation’s musician Barkaa. It promises to be an eventful few weeks.”

Week one program begins with a two-day overnight financial literacy camp on Monday April 14 and Tuesday April 15, designed to empower the next generation with money confidence. […]
