Brewarrina boys kick off their rugby careers

Sarah Pearce, Far West Development Officer for NSW Rugby said her role coordinating keen young people into rugby traineeships “fills her cup,” and it’s easy to see why.

There are currently three local ‘SBATs’ from Brewarrina, and Ms Pearce said she hopes there will be more to come from Walgett and Bourke.

An ‘SBAT’ is a young person undertaking a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship who can work with an employer and train in a qualification while still at school.
