Bourke played Cobar at Davidson Oval on Sunday in the first Brewery Shield match in Bourke in 14 years.

Bourke won the toss and batted, posting a competitive 10/194 from 48 overs. Notable scorers were Jarryd Samuelsson (49), Troy Hayman Jnr (26) and Adam McLean (22).

The Cobar side got off to a great start, losing just one wicket in the first 28 overs for 98. Bourke rallied and took 6/50 in the middle overs, leaving Cobar 80 runs to chase off the final 16 overs and five wickets in hand. Unfortunately for Bourke, the injury of two key bowlers during the match was costly with Cobar reaching the required 195 runs to win in the 46th over with three wickets to spare.
