Collarenebri buzzes with energy for Fishing Weekend

Collarenebri came to life over the weekend for the Colly Cod Classic and Carp Muster 2023.

This event marked the third occasion in its five-year history, overcoming the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tattersalls Hotel served as the bustling hub for registrations, with 321 participants eagerly signing up for the weekend fishing competition.

This unprecedented turnout set a record for the event, demonstrating the growing enthusiasm the fishing comp has garnered over the years.

Enthusiasts from far and wide converged on Collarenebri to seize the opportunity to reel in the big catch.

Beyond the excitement of fishing with friends, this event was also a remarkable endeavour to tackle the environmental issue of carp infestation in the river system.
