Lightning Ridge District Bowling Club
The Lightning Ridge District Bowling Club welcomes December with a series of festive celebrations, promising an enchanting holiday experience for all its members and guests.
This year the club underwent a magical transformation into a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, majestic Christmas trees, and charming decorations.
A highlight is the inclusion of Santa’s seat and a sleigh with reindeer, creating a perfect setting for holiday photos.
A special feature for the younger guests is Santa’s mailbox where children have the joy of sending their letters to Santa and receiving personalised replies, thanks to Santa’s unique partnership with Australia Post.
The festive spirit kicks off with the Member’s Christmas Party this Saturday.
Beginning at 4pm, Santa’s arrival with treats for the children and a chance for photos marks the start of the celebrations, followed by a BBQ dinner at 6pm.
There is further excitment with the drawing of the stocking raffle, where a lucky member stands a chance to win over $5000 in prizes, with tickets available for purchase at the front reception at $2 each.
Continuing the festive mood, the Christmas Social Bowls are held every Sunday leading up to Christmas Eve, starting at 6pm.
These evenings are not just about bowling; they’re about revelling in the holiday spirit and winning traditional festive prizes like hams and turkeys.
The club’s calendar also features raffles in mid-December. The Ham, Turkey, and Pork raffle on Wednesday, 13 December, and another on the 20th, both at 6:30pm, offer members the opportunity to win delicious festive fare. […]
