Lucy rises to the top as Bourke’s Young Citizen of 2024
Lucy attends St Ignatius Parish School and excels in various sports, and is a regular announcer on Outback Radio 2WEB.
She is a girl who always gives 100% to everything she does always and is courteous and respectful. She is a role model for her peers and to the Bourke Community.
Besides her success at school, Lucy achieved significant sporting success during 2023, including qualifying for, and competing at, the NSW State Athletic Titles in the 11-year-old girls Shot Put event.
Despite not having a specialised coach, Lucy trained herself in the backyard of the family home in Bourke, placing 20th in the state in her age group. She achieved two personal bests after training frequently and working hard towards her goals.[…]
