New management at the Bre RSL

The Brewarrina RSL has a new President and a new Club Manager, but it’s still business as usual as they serve the community.

New President Tim Slack-Smith said he was grateful that club members had given him the nod of approval.

“It’s a change in direction in a few ways as about a month ago we hired a new club manager as well with Claire Priestley getting the role,” Mr Slack-Smith said.

“We also put on a second-in-charge role with the idea to fill some senior roles with experience where we can.”

Mr Slack-Smith said the former Bre RSL manager, Victor Smith, has moved to Walgett to the take on the role as the Walgett RSL Club CEO and Ms Priestley was a welcome addition to the team.

Previously a director of the Bre RSL, Mr Slack-Smith said the president’s role was a contested one. […]
