New Principal for Brewarrina Central School

The transformative power of culture is at the heart of the NSW Education Department’s Connected Communities Strategy and a guiding light for Brewarrina Central School’s new principal Jennifer Green.
“I am energised by this school and community,” Ms Green said.
“There is such incredible capacity among students, community and staff.
“The Connected Communities Strategy is about working deeply with the community to impact educational outcomes for our young people, who are the future of their community.
“There is so much invested in this, and the hope is palpable.”
Ms Green said that she has been made to feel welcome at Brewarrina since taking up the role in January.
“I have found people open, willing to work with me and share their wisdom,” she said.
“The willingness of community members to talk deeply about issues, hopes and aspirations for young people and this community is heartening.”
Ms Green grew up in south-west Queensland, attended school in Roma, gained a science degree and became a science teacher.
