The new Ochre Health team has this week taken over the Bourke medical practice, as well as a raft of other medical practices across the far west.
Ross Lamplugh is one of the founders and directors of Ochre Health and for him, re-establishing Ochre Health is something of a homecoming.
“I absolutely love the place,” he said. “I spent nearly ten years in Bourke and have lots of friends and some godchildren in town and we are really excited to be back.
“What’s excited me the most is how our whole team has embraced the challenge of coming to Bourke.
“The entire team has gathered around, and people will be seeing some of our staff from far flung places, from Queensland and other areas, setting up the medical centres and getting the rosters going.
“Members of our recruiting team have been busting themselves for the last six weeks to fill all the rostered positions and have managed to do that successfully.
