Recognising the generosity of Bourke’s businesses

Like many local events, the Bourke Show can’t go ahead without sponsorship and those generous community supporters need to be publicly congratulated!

Ben Ritchie, President of the Bourke Pastoral and Agricultural Association is keen to promote a good news story about Bourke and the generosity of local businesses who support community events.

“The Bourke P and A committee is in the process of organising this year’s Bourke Show and once again we have had great community support,” Mr Ritchie said.

“Bourke Betta is one of our great sponsors and they have been donating goods to the Bourke Show for three decades or more. This year, they’ve donated two 12-volt fridges, which we’re going to raffle off on the Easter weekend.”

“These fridges are great prizes, and we are appreciative of the donation from Stacey at Bourke Betta.

“The Bourke Show is scheduled for Saturday 17 May this year and, as usual, we are looking for more sponsors to come on board and help us put on the best show possible.”

Mr Ritchie said that, as a business owner himself, he knows firsthand of the pressure on businesses to help out or donate to community events. […]
