Safer traffic system for Enngonia

The village of Enngonia is due for changes in traffic rules following concerns of cars and trucks passing through the town at high speeds.
Bourke Shire Council General Manager Leonie Brown said there has been traffic issues at Enngonia that needed to be resolved.
“We’ve had trucks and cars travelling through town at high speed and the school is right on the highway where vehicles should slow down to 40 kilometres an hour,” Mrs Brown said.
“There are Aboriginal children walking in from their community and crossing the road so it’s very dangerous,” she said. […]
