Stefan becomes an Australian Citizen

A sense of excitement filled the air in the Walgett Shire Chambers last Thursday.

Dutch man Stefan Lehnen was about to become an Australian citizen.

He had left the Netherlands behind in 2014 in search of a new life, and now he was ready to make it official.

He had his wife Simone by his side, along with their young son, Liam, and their daughter, Montanah.

Stefan is a farmer through and through, and he has truly found his calling in Australia.

The sprawling fields, the clear blue skies, and the rugged landscapes have captured his heart.

“Australia is my home now, and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Stefan said.

However, there was one aspect of the day that Stefan had struggled with – formal clothing.
