West is best (but we already knew that)

We all know that west is best, and a new campaign by Western Local Land Services is trying to convince others of our great lifestyle.

Alana Coxhead, a Biosecurity Officer based out of Brewarrina said that ironically, she travelled east to get to the west, making the trek from Perth to Bourke. Alana said it was worth the five-day drive to relocate.

“I work in a fantastic landscape and that’s where I like to spend my free time.” Ms Coxhead said. “I really value the work I do out here. I have a positive impact on improving the country and assisting all the landholders that live within it.”

Alana’s work extends into the Bourke region which she describes as a “mecca for young professionals.”

“There are teachers, health workers, and police who are all here to get experience early in their career.

“Bourke’s a dynamic community of young people, there’s always something going on and plenty of social life to experience. […]
