Wool industry raises money for Macquarie Home Stay

Stage two of the Macquarie Home Stay facility in Dubbo will be partly funded by wool which comes straight from the sheep’s back in western NSW.
Andrew Mills from Don MacDonald and Co wool brokers in Dubbo said they have teamed up with fellow wool merchants, Endeavor Exports to raise funds for Macquarie Home Stay.
The facility provides a home away from home for outback residents accessing medical treatment in Dubbo and they are currently building a new extension.
“The goal was to raise around $65,000 to completely furnish and outfit a family apartment at Macquarie Home Stay,” Mr Mills said.
“We had our first wool sale at the Easter Show in Sydney, and I think we’re now passed the $35,000 mark so we are well and truly halfway there.” […]
